Ένα συνέδριο από μόνο του δεν είναι εύκολη υπόθεση, έχει πολλές προκλήσεις που όμως αξίζουν πραγματικά τον κόπο. Ειδικά όταν πίσω από αυτό υπάρχει ένα ισχυρό όραμα για την αξία που έρχεται να προσφέρει στους συμμετέχοντές του. Το έβδομο (7ο) κατά σειρά, επίσημο ελληνικό WordCamp διοργανώνεται από εθελοντές του WordPress Greek Community. Ο σκοπός του είναι η διάδοση και η προώθηση του WordPress στο ελληνικό κοινό.

Στηρίζοντας το WordCamp Athens στηρίζετε τις ανοιχτές τεχνολογίες και την Ελληνική Κοινότητα του WordPress.

Ένα συνέδριο χρειάζεται οργάνωση, επιμέλεια, χρονοδιάγραμμα και κυρίως ανθρώπινους πόρους. Υπάρχουν πολλοί τρόποι να βοηθήσει κάθε άνθρωπος που μοιράζεται αυτό το κοινό όραμα: βοηθώντας στη διοργάνωση, συμμετέχοντας ως ομιλητής ή εθελοντής, καθώς και οικονομικά, ως χορηγός. Το αποτέλεσμα μπορεί να είναι κάτι τόσο καλό όσο τα προηγούμενα συνέδρια:

Πέρα από τη χρηματοδότηση που έχει λάβει από το WordPress Foundation, το επίσημο και κοινωφελές ίδρυμα που έχει ως σκοπό τη διαφύλαξη της ανοικτότητας του WordPress και των σημάτων του, το συνέδριο παρέχει τη δυνατότητα σε κάθε ενδιαφερόμενη εταιρία να το στηρίξει οικονομικά και ταυτόχρονα να προβληθεί στους συμμετέχοντές του.

Η οργανωτική ομάδα του WordCamp Athens έχει δημιουργήσει πέντε (5) πακέτα χορηγιών, με μεγάλο οικονομικό εύρος, προκειμένου να δώσει την δυνατότητα σε όσο το δυνατόν περισσότερες εταιρείες και ιδιώτες να συνεισφέρουν στο συνέδριο αυτό. Call for sponsors

Organizing a conference is not an easy task. Still, all its challenges are worth every effort, especially when the vision of the organizing team is to empower the Greek WordPress Community and all the WordCamp attendees. The volunteers of the WordPress Greek Community are organizing the seventh (7th) WordCamp in Greece. Their only purpose is to spread and promote WordPress culture and technology to the Greek public.

By supporting WordCamp Athens, you support open source technologies and the greek WordPress Community.

A conference needs coordination, diligence, schedule, and, most importantly, human resources. There are many ways to support the organizing team who shares the responsibilities to make this conference happen by assisting in the management, participating as a speaker or volunteer, and of course, financially, as a sponsor.
