WordCamp Athens 2026 will be hosted in the heart of Athens, specifically at the War Museum.
Access
The War Museum is located at 2–4 Rizari Street, Athens. It is easily accessible by public transportation from all areas of the city.
By Metro (Line 3 / M3)
Get off at Evangelismos Station. From there, the War Museum is approximately a 5-minute walk away. Simply walk towards Vasilissis Sofias Avenue and continue along Rizari Street.
By Bus
The nearest bus stop is Byzantine Museum – Rigillis. The following bus lines serve this stop: 203, 204, 211, 214, 220, 221, 224, 235, 400, 608, 622, 815, A5, E14, X14, and X95.
If you are arriving from abroad or from another city in Greece, reaching the War Museum is very easy:
From Athens International Airport
The easiest option is Metro Line 3 (M3), which provides a direct connection from the airport to Evangelismos Station, with no transfers required. Alternatively, you can take the X95 Express Bus (Airport – Syntagma).
From Athens Railway Station (Larissa Station)
Take Metro Line 2 from Larissa Station to Monastiraki, where you can transfer to Metro Line 3 (M3) and continue to Evangelismos Station. Alternatively, you can use bus lines 220, 224, 235, and 550, which also serve the area.
From the Port of Piraeus
Take Metro Line 1 (M1 / Green Line) to Monastiraki Station, then transfer to Metro Line 3 (M3) and continue to Evangelismos Station.
Parking
The museum does not provide on-site parking for visitors. Private parking facilities are available on Rizari Street, including an underground parking garage. Limited free street parking may also be available in the surrounding area; however, due to the museum’s central location, the use of public transportation is recommended.
