Ένα συνέδριο από μόνο του δεν είναι εύκολη υπόθεση, έχει πολλές προκλήσεις που όμως αξίζουν πραγματικά τον κόπο. Ειδικά όταν πίσω από αυτό υπάρχει ένα ισχυρό όραμα για την αξία που έρχεται να προσφέρει στους συμμετέχοντές του. Το έκτο κατά σειρά, επίσημο ελληνικό WordCamp διοργανώνεται από εθελοντές του WordPress Greek Community. Ο σκοπός του είναι η διάδοση και η προώθηση του WordPress στο ελληνικό κοινό.

Ένα συνέδριο χρειάζεται οργάνωση, επιμέλεια, χρονοδιάγραμμα και κυρίως ανθρώπινους πόρους. Υπάρχουν πολλοί τρόποι να βοηθήσει κάθε άνθρωπος που μοιράζεται αυτό το κοινό όραμα: βοηθώντας στη διοργάνωση, συμμετέχοντας ως ομιλητής ή εθελοντής, καθώς και οικονομικά, ως χορηγός. Το αποτέλεσμα μπορεί να είναι κάτι τόσο καλό όσο τα προηγούμενα συνέδρια: WordCamp Thessaloniki 2019, WordCamp Athens 2019, WordCamp Thessaloniki 2018, WordCamp Athens 2017 και WordCamp Athens 2016.

Organizing a conference is not an easy task but all its challenges worth every single effort. Especially when the vision of the organizing team is to empower the Greek WordPress Community and all the WordCamp attendees. The sixth WordCamp in Greece is organized by the volunteers of the WordPress Greek Community. Their only purpose is to spread and promote WordPress culture and technology to the Greek public.

A conference needs coordination, diligence, schedule and most importantly human resources. There are many ways to support the organizing team who shares the responsibilities to make this conference happen by assisting in management, participating as a speaker or volunteer, and of course financially, as a sponsor.
